All youth, parents/guardians and volunteers at our events are required to agree with the following terms. organizers will enforce these rules throughout our events. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.
Participants violating these rules may be expelled from the event and future events at the discretion of the event organizers.
Signing up to attend events beforehand is mandatory. This is to ensure safety and abide by venue capacity regulations.
If you do not have a registration we reserve the right to not admit you. We sincerely wish to accommodate everyone but operate on a first come first serve registration basis.
Youth under the age of 13 must be accompanied at all times by a parent/guardian. Do not leave your child/charge unattended.
We suggest that parents stay in the event space and are welcome to not participate (but always have the option to).
Please be mindful of the equipment graciously lent to us for events. Especially our loaner laptops so that they can be used by future coders!
Laptops are required at all events unless otherwise specified. Please bring laptops with power cords and working wireless Internet.
We rely on hosting our events for free at pro bono spaces. Please be courteous and clean-up after yourself and encourage others to do the same.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We value the participation of each attendee of the CoderDojo Metuchen community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. All participants are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout our events.
CoderDojo Metuchen is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.
All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event.
Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate for CoderDojo Metuchen.
We, ‘CoderDojo Metuchen’ are not liable for any activities including communication or transactions that occur outside of our events.
By entering the premises, you consent to being filmed/photographed and the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of the footage to be used for public relations, videos, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by CoderDojo Metuchen.
You waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, or other publication. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or film taken by CoderDojo Metuchen.
If you would like to not be included (or for your child to not be included) in any published materials, please speak to the filmmakers/photographers directly or email email@example.com.
