Who is the new, young artist ready to present his or her work of art? Your child!
CoderDojo Metuchen is excited to announce that on June 18th, we will be participating in the Junebug Artfest. During our regularly scheduled dojo, the kids will create their own art using code. Completed projects will be displayed at that night’s Junebug Artfest on Main St. We will also be playing a life-sized coding board game. Think Robot Turtles—only your friend/sibling/parent is the turtle.
Registration for the June 18 session is now live. Register Now!
Date: Saturday, June 18, 2016
Location: Metuchen Borough Library
But don’t wait until the 18th. Start creating your art today! Try out some of these great coding projects and be sure to email us your results along with your name (first and last initial) and age. We’ll add it to our video to be displayed at Junebug.
Registration is required in advance for all events. Children under 13 years must be accompanied by a parent. A limited number of loaner laptops may be available – if your child has a laptop to bring, please do!
Registration is limited to 30 participants, so be sure to sign up early.
Our Dojo is open to all kids 7 to 17, however, as with other events hosted at the Metuchen Public Library, priority is given to residents of Metuchen. If you are not a Metuchen resident, you may register and add yourself to the wait list. You will be contacted if space becomes available.
Need some assistance? We’ll be happy to help – just let us know!
