Metuchen’s Junebug ArtFest App for Android Developed by Our Newest CoderDojo Mentors

Metuchen’s Junebug ArtFest launched in 2015 with its own interactive app for Android – developed and published by Metuchen High School students Nisarg Joshi and Ethan Cantor.

If those names sound familiar, it might be that you’ve also seen Nisarg and Ethan working hard as mentors at our last few CoderDojo Metuchen programming club events at the Metuchen Public Library!

While they’re not helping teach new programmers Scratch, HTML, and JavaScript, they’re busy building their own ideas into apps using the Java skills they’ve learned at school and self-taught.

From the Metuchen High School website:

MHS students Nisarg Joshi and Ethan Cantor have developed an app for Junebug, the arts festival that runs each Friday evening in June in Metuchen. Click more for a link to the app in the Google Play app store. The app is now complete and ready for downloads.

If you haven’t tried the app yet, we hope you’ll check it out – it’s the best way to find your way to all the artists you love to see at Metuchen’s Junebug ArtFest every Friday night in June!

Currently available for Android, and plans for an iOS version are already in the works for next year… šŸ™‚
